Who Are You?

I’m a rising senior at Reed College in beautiful Portland, OR. My major is mathematics and statistics, and I’ll be getting a minor in Russian, but I have a special place in my heart for the environment, environmental policy, and the frameworks Americans have come together to put in place to protect the natural world.

Over the summer, I will be embarking on a grand journey to document the ideas, philosophy, literature, and human side of the movement and legislation that created the American environmental state, and just to make it that much more environmentally inclined: do it all by bicycle. I’ll travel, human speed, through the greater Northwest: Oregon, far Northern California, Idaho, Montana, and Washington. Along the way, I’ll document what I see and learn in the form of videos for the internet and posts on my blog. I want to create beautiful videos of our beautiful country and the strong rules that keep it that way.
